MISSION STATEMENT: It is the Park and Recreation Department's mission to maximize all available resources to deliver well maintained parks, clean and well-functioning recreation facilities, and quality programs, events and community services to the residents and visitors of Yorba Linda. We will do this through cost effective delivery of services, valuable partnerships with other service providers, maximum use of volunteers, and continued feedback from our community. We will measure our success by constant evaluation and updating of our recreation system. Our primary goal is to improve the quality of life for all who use our services, build community pride, and support the economic and environmental sustainability of Yorba Linda.

Senior Programs and Services
Adults who are 55 years and older are invited to join in on a wide variety of activities, classes and trips offered at the Yorba Linda Senior / Community Center. Military Banner Program -
The Military Banner Program was designed to honor and recognize Yorba Linda Gold Star and active duty military personnel. Applications are currently being accepted for the 2014/2015 program. The deadline to register is April 10, 2014. The cost to purchase a military banner is $75.00. Military banners will be displayed on light poles along sections of Yorba Linda Boulevard beginning at Valley View Avenue and continuing East. Each banner will list the name of the honoree and the branch of the military. For further information on this program including eligibility requirements, banner presentation, and the application form click the following link: Military Banner Program Flyer and Application. The application also includes information to submit donations for this program to assist families that may not be able to afford the program. SUMMER 2014 VOLUNTEEN PROGRAM To provide a mentorship and leadership training program for Yorba Linda teens ages 14-17 years old interested in enhancing life and work skills and gaining on the job training.
TEEN ACTION COMMITTEE APPLICATION The Yorba Linda Teen Action Committee program is a leadership based volunteer organization, designed for 7th and 8th grade middle school students who live in or attend a public or private school in Yorba Linda. Applications due by Friday April 25, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. to the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House, 4701 Casa Loma Avenue. Postmarks will NOT be accepted.

Community Center Facility Rental Our facility offers a variety of equipment that can enhance your seminars, business meetings, classes or banquets. Microphones, TV/DVD carts, piano, portable bars, coffee pots, audio/visual projectors, and dance floors are available for a rental fee. Tables and chairs and the set up of your event are included for a rental fee. Our professional staff can specifically tailor our facility to fit your needs.

The Yorba Linda Veterans Memorial Association (YLVMA) continues to take "Brick Orders" to honor an active or Veteran member of the U.S. Armed Forces. Brick Order Form. The YLVMA also offers individuals, businesses and organizations to sponsor an Orange County "Fallen Hero of the Armed Services" by purchasing a "Gold Star Brick" for Military Personnel Killed in Action since September 11, 2001 This brick honors military personnel who lived in Orange County.
