Councilwoman Campbell


Tara Campbell is an advocate for fiscal responsibility, strong leadership and government efficiency, Tara has long been active in a wide range of conservative causes. Tara oversaw Orange County, in particular the cities of Yorba Linda, Placentia, Brea and La Habra, for our State Assembly Member coordinated special events for over 500,000 constituents including Child Safety Fairs, Small Business Boost Seminars, Senior Health Fairs, and more.

Tara was appointed unanimously to Yorba Linda’s Parks and Recreation Commission in 2015 and immediately elected as Chair Pro Tem. Tara served as Chairwoman of the Commission in 2016 where she prioritized revitalizing our parks and ensuring the safety of our children in our parks. Tara also served on Yorba Linda’s Sports Advisory Committee and Yorba Linda Public Library’s One Book, One City Committee.

She is a graduate of the Marian Bergeson Excellence in Public Service Series as well as the Orange County Superior Court Leadership Academy. She is also a member of the California Women’s Leadership Association.

Tara was born and raised in Yorba Linda. She attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School before heading to Rosary Academy in Fullerton, where she was Captain of her CIF Semi Final basketball team and Senior Class President. She then graduated from the University of Southern California with a Masters in Public Administration, a Certificate of Public Policy, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Broadcast & Digital Journalism. She is bringing her education back to her hometown.

Tara believes in giving back to our community volunteering her time by delivering meals with Meals on Wheels, building homes with Corazon, and serving lunches for the Senior Lunch program. Tara has been active in Yorba Linda groups including the Chamber of Commerce, Yorba Linda Women’s Club, National Charity League, and Girl Scouts.

Tara is active at St. Martin de Porres Church starting out as an altar server, then as a Counselor for Us In the Son Day Camp, then as a Confirmation Teacher, she served this past year as a Captain on the Oktoberfest Committee, and now she serves on the Parish Pastoral Council.

Tara’s family has lived in Yorba Linda for almost 30 years. Tara enjoys playing basketball in Yorba Linda’s Women’s Basketball League and spending time with her family, especially her niece, Emma.
