Mud / Flood Information
Remain vigilant - the threat is not over
The residents located near the burnt slope areas are highly encouraged to remain vigilant throughout the rainy season. The danger of debris and mudflows is not over and will continue to threaten neighborhoods for the next three to five years. City and State erosion control measures (k-rail, sandbags, etc.) will remain in place until it can be determined that the danger is over. In addition, residents with debris and mudflow control measures such as sandbags are reminded to leave these measures in place. While the City and the Orange County Fire Authority continue to monitor the weather and the hillsides, residents should always be prepared to evacuate at a moments notice during rainy weather.
